Mark Broadmeadow, Vets Captain said "This is the first year where there has been a Voucher prize for winning the league, and we are grateful to Swinton Business insurance for their continued sponsorship".

The committee have given the prize money to the U14 girls section so they can purchase a brand new goalie kit. Stuart Eames U14 girls Manager said " We have a thriving junior section at Petersfield Hockey Club, and in particular our girls section is going from strength to strength. On behalf of the U14 squad I would like to extend our thanks to the Vets squad for not only winning the league and the prize money, but also providing us with coaching time, umpires and hard working committee members."

Gerry Conran, Chair of the Wessex Masters League said "From the Wessex masters point of view this demonstrates to clubs the additional value in having a Vets team, in that not only do the Vets contingent fully support clubs in all manner of ways through coaching and umpiring and other various club roles, but also that this prize voucher is aimed at the junior level of a club , and would be used to assist with Junior teams equipment needs. To demonstrate the inclusive one club strategy that all clubs are trying to develop. Hopefully this prize and its potential for future years , will help to grow and consolidate Masters Hockey in all our existing clubs , and encourage others to introduce a Vets team".
