A mixture of 'old' and squeaky new players provided a strong force
throughout the windy U8 Tournament in Fareham this Sunday morning.
After a dominant first game, defence including S. Roland and Wigginton worked hard to keep off the Chichester team. Finally
Petersfield Scott-Plumber broke away to the opponent goal and Hulme looked set to score, only for the siren to blast.
The later matches saw Petersfield in better formation with newcomers Grantham and C. Rowland providing strong support to
Stratton-Brown and Hulme whom blasted in two goals against Fareham. Excitedly battling against Portsmouth Pattison lost a
shoe on the way to score the only goal of the game. Multiple fast and furious attacks on the Petersfield goal followed but were unsuccessful due to McKenzie's fantastic defending.
Great work from a high spirited U8's team, an enjoyable time was had by all on and off the pitch.
