On Sunday 10th January the U8’s travelled to Portsmouth to take part in a 6 game hockey tournament with other local teams including: Gosport, Chichester, Havant, Fareham and Portsmouth.
The team played impressive attacking hockey winning 5 of the 6 games and drawing one which was disbanded halfway through due to a huge hailstorm!
Hulme dominated the game and scored all 13 goals, assisted by some exceptional midfield and attacking play by S Rowland and C Oatley. Thomas and O’Sullivan provided some good tackling in the midfield and the youngest players on the pitch M Oatley and C Rowland ensured that the team conceded no goals.
These amazing players provided a morning of very exciting and at times nail biting hockey on a very rainy and at times hail stormy day.
