A mixture of 'experienced' u8's and some of the team playing tournament hockey for the first time combined brilliantly at the Fareham Hockey Festival to come away with 6 wins from their 6 matches. The festival was the first of the season and considering some in the team had only picked up a hockey stick for the first time a few weeks ago, there was some lovely team hockey on show.
Dru Wiggington, George Shanks, Harry Cleife and Thomas Crabtree picked up from where they left off last season, being a year older they provided a strong and very competitive spine to the team aided by a mixture of determination, enthusiasm and flair from Tessa Godber, Tom Shanks and Sid Suraj.
Despite some tired young legs at the the end the team thoroughly enjoyed themselves and this was shown in their often free flowing hockey that culminated in 24 goals for and zero against.
