Really well played today ladies, fantastic effort from everyone. Hard to start on the back foot without a goalie - and we know the score reflects that massively - but a performance to be proud of, especially the second half when we tried to forget the scoreline (1-4 at ht) and make the most of our extra outfield player. Amazing commitment from our defensive trio of Emily, Alice and Chloe. Calm under pressure, tenacious tackling, and awesome drag flick save from a short by Alice ?

Midfielders Fizz, Holly, Alex, Rosie, Robo and Anneka distributed the ball well, ran their socks off and linked up effectively with forwards and backs.

Beautifully taken first goal by Daisy, great second goal from Eva from a cute little short corner routine with Fizz, and a fab third goal rocket, also from Eva. Who should've had a hattrick but the final whistle went mid-shot ??

Southampton uni's goals didn't come easily for them at all, only one from the edge of the D, the others from scrappy goalmouth tangles after a couple of initial saves. They were certainly rattled when the score was 3-4 midway through the second half, but we just couldn't sustain the pressure. Final score 3-6.

Daisy and Eva both received player of the match votes for wonderful goals and assertive attacking play, but this week's convincing winner is birthday girl Alice ??❤️ for leading our defensive line tremendously ?
