A gorgeous sunny afternoon for a hockey match yesterday.
Even if the sun made it tricky to see at times.
We wanted to start aggressively from the first ball to get the upper hand.
The mids Jude, Margot, Natalie Isla and Rachel H worked hard to get the ball through to the forwards. Up front Anna, Claire and Rachel M consistently made some good runs and attacks in the D but were thwarted by the keeper.

In the second half Lauren made a striding run up the pitch and scored with a lovely strike to put us in the lead. About 10 mins later Jude solidified our win with a goal after battling hard in the D.

Portsmouth attacks were put down by the solid defending of Kate, Karen and Lauren.
Big thanks to Zoe for stepping into the GK kit and saving all the goals

All in all a very pleasant game and solid win ?
