Not the fiery controversial finale of last season but maybe that’s a good thing.

We played good hockey and held possession for majority of the time. The forwards battled in the D with so many short corners we lost count .
Rachel Heapy scored with a lovely strike give us the draw.
Lots of near misses off some great running by Rachel M and Anna.
Sheena very nearly had a champagne moment with a mid air shot.
Jude, Margot Rachel and Maddie were fabulous in the middle.

Maddie had an amazing senior debut aged only 13 and totally held her own looking very comfortable by the end.
Kate and Lauren in the back solid as ever with a couple of signature strides up the pitch by Lauren.
All backed up by Elise in goal who did a fab job. Not bad considering she hasn’t put the pads on for 12 months!
