The boys put in their best performance of the season so far against an evenly-matched Fleet&Ewshott team. There were displays of vision from the midfield, tenacious tackling from the defence and pressure from the forward line. Unfortunately, despite having camped out at times in the Fleet D, we were unable to strike a killer blow.
Special mention must go to Adrian Ankers in goal who timed his approaches to onrushing Ewshott forwards to perfection, making clearances look easy - much to the admiration of both sets of supporters. The team have begun to see value in a passing game and the coaches hope that we will all have the chance to celebrate a few goals before the end of the season.
A well fought match. Good work boys. Thanks to all the parents who cheered them on.
