With low availability of players for this week's away match at Fareham, Petersfield called upon a few players that hadn't played together and one brave u16 boy who had his first taste of an adult match. An intense first 15 minutes saw immense pressure from Fareham and included them taking a brilliant drag flick from a short corner which gave them the lead. But what Petersfield may have lacked in experience they made up for in tenacity and after a great goal from Young saw Petersfield go into half time at 1-1. Petersfield settled in the 2nd half and kept shape but after several great saves from Petersfield's keeper Fareham hit the back of the net and took the lead once more. Spurred on, Petersfield rallied once more and a perfect volley from Young saw Petersfield draw level once more. Fareham determined for the win dominated once more but the shots couldn't make it past Petersfields keeper. A fast counter attack followed from Petersfield and after a shot got stopped on the line by a Fareham players foot a penalty flick was awarded. A perfectly calm strike from Budden N put Petersfield ahead with 10 minutes to play. Final score Fareham 2 Petersfield 3.
