Following an opening 15 minutes of end to end hockey. The first half ended with Chichester on top 2-1. Within the first half Chichester scored two good goals, and also had one disallowed. Alfie Scott-Charles had a blazing run down the right stopped by a kamikaze keeper. Alfie quite quickly hit the floor - but did so skillfully passed the ball off to Olly Morley, who spotted a gap and scored. The first half ended with a game for all to play for in the second half. Chichester hit back with multiple goals, some of which were disallowed. And one coming off Dave Morleys knee - despite vocal protests from the opposition. Dave pointed out he had another knee - so I guess that crisis passed.
The second half began was underway and after a succession of short corners Chichester were 4-1 up. Alec Scott Plummer hit back, with a great goal from the top of the D. However despite valiant attempts by Ed Cropley, looping runs down the wing by Dan Heapy and some deft dribbling by Ethan Lawlor no more goals came.
Sadly a defeat for Petersfield. But with one of the best games of hockey played this year by the team, an enjoyable afternoon. 4-2 to Chichester.
