Great comeback for the fourth victory in the league

Beautiful day to greet the return of the Petersfield 3s on the home field, facing the island team strong of the double of the points in the standings. Despite the skipper's recommendation to concentrate as much as possible in the first 10 minutes of the match, the home team was two goals down with the guests convinced on an easy run. Perhaps this presumption eased the pace that the guests had imposed from the beginning, leaving the initiative to Petersfield who after various attacks with Elliott White, John Budden and Alex Hulme, came to a draw with goals from Elliott White and John Budden, the first following a precise scheme from short corner, the second deflecting a precise pass inside the D by Alex Hulme. The island team reacted after the draw, and took the lead, credit goes to Petersfield for keeping the belief and continuing to push in midfield with Archie Rushin, Joe Cullen and Max White; from a precise pass of the latter to Alex Hulme, who in speed got rid of two opponents, the 3s equalised with Elliott White right on the whistle of the end of the first half.
Petersfield started better in the second half, stopping the opponents attacks with Will Cave, Olly Caiger-Smith and Finlay Rushin; in the front of the Petersfield's attack, Alex Hulme was litterally on fire, continuing to overtake the defense of the islanders in speed and injecting another stunning pass in the D for a deflection of Archie Rushin making it four for the home team. The opponents however didn't give up and following a short corner scheme equalised. The 3s needed this win to move from a precarious position in the standings and they got it thanks to a penalty shot converted by Alex Hulme. "Great determination by the team today and deserved win" were the comments of a proud skipper at the end of the game.
