Well done to the Kestrels for a very good performance this morning at Havant.

Much longer games than we are used to playing (13 minute halves), so the subs were used all the time. Everyone's attitude to rolling on and off the pitch was very good and you were all supportive of each other. Thank you for that - it does make the manager's job easier! Everyone got to play in a variety of positions which is really good for learning about the game and understanding the tactics - this will make you better players.

Match 1: PHC 8 - 0 Southampton

We really played play well, moving the ball quickly to the wings from the back and pivoting very nicely. A special well done to Annabel who scored 4 goals in one of her first games including a first half Hatrick! Player of match - Annabel.

Match 2: PHC 0 - 2 Chichester A

A very tight game though we dominated possession. We did a couple of amazing pivots from the left wing all the way back through defence and then out to the right wing which resulted in a good chance. They had GK which was really the only difference between the teams. Some really gutsy tackling in midfield and defence. Player of the Match - Talia.

Match 3: PHC 0 - 2 Havant A

Another tight game where the only difference between the teams again was that they had a GK. We had plenty of good chances in the opposing D but couldn't get the goal strike. Don't be afraid to shoot early is there is a keeper, they may save it but if your team members follow up they can get the rebound for an easy tap in. We lost our shape a little in this game as we got tired, but you kept running, tackling and giving 100 per cent for each other. Player of the match (voted by Havant) - Imogen

Things you did well:
Getting the pivot going and playing the ball out from defence
Strong tackling
Max effort (as shown by all the red faces!)

Things to work on:
Working hard to get into space to make it easier for your teammate who has the ball
Look up for a pass - there is normally always space out wide
Positioning - especially wide players, don't get drawn into the middle as it gets very congested
